Disable Wix's native cookie banner is an urgent recommendation in Consent Studio Monitoring. Active recommendations show on the Start page of your domain's dashboard and on the Recommendations page (Monitoring dropdown in the top bar). Collaborators on the domain may also receive it by email.
What this recommendation means
Your Wix site shows two cookie banners: the Consent Studio banner and the cookie banner that Wix has built in. The recommendation says:
"Your Wix site is showing both the Consent Studio banner and Wix's built-in cookie banner. They both write consent state to Wix's Consent Policy API, which can produce conflicting consent records and compliance issues."
Why you're seeing it
Wix's built-in cookie banner is still switched on
During a scan, Monitoring found Wix's own cookie banner on your site. Wix doesn't switch it off automatically when you install Consent Studio, and Wix offers no way for us to switch it off for you. You need to do this once in your Wix dashboard.
How to resolve it
Open your Wix dashboard.
Go to Settings, then Cookies & Privacy.
Turn off Wix's native cookie banner.
Consent Studio's Wix Consent Policy API integration also requires Wix's native cookie banner to be disabled. See Wix Consent Policy API and Wix: How to install Consent Studio.
The recommendation closes by itself after the next completed scan that no longer finds Wix's native banner.

Can I dismiss it?
Yes, but it comes back after 30 days if Wix's native banner is still showing.
