What the Enable WP Consent API integration Monitoring suggestion means, why you're seeing it and how to resolve it

Last updated About 1 hour ago

Enable WP Consent API integration is a suggestion in Consent Studio Monitoring. Active recommendations show on the Start page of your domain's dashboard and on the Recommendations page (Monitoring dropdown in the top bar).

What this recommendation means

The recommendation says: "Your website is running on WordPress, but the WP Consent API integration is not enabled in Consent Studio."

The WP Consent API lets WordPress plugins read what a visitor consented to. With the integration switched on, Consent Studio passes your visitors' choices on to it, so plugins that support the WP Consent API can respect them.

Why you're seeing it

Your website runs on WordPress and the integration is off

Monitoring detected that your website runs on WordPress, while the WordPress Consent API integration is not switched on for this domain. This suggestion only appears once the domain has been in Consent Studio for at least 14 days.

How to resolve it

  1. Click Manage Integrations on the recommendation, or go to Web CMP > Integrations.

  2. Switch on WordPress Consent API and save your changes.

More about this integration in WP Consent API x Consent Studio. For the WordPress setup, see WordPress: How to install Consent Studio.

The recommendation closes by itself as soon as you save the integration. You don't need to wait for a scan.
