Webflow Analytics x Consent Studio CMP
Let Consent Studio switch Webflow's built-in analytics on or off based on your visitors' Analytics consent
Last updated 3 days ago
If your website runs on Webflow, the Webflow Analytics integration lets Consent Studio tell Webflow whether a visitor allows analytics. In the dashboard it's described as: "Enable Webflow's built-in analytics when users grant analytics consent. Automatically activates tracking using Webflow's native API."
How is consent processed?
The integration follows the Analytics category of your banner:
When a visitor grants Analytics consent, Consent Studio calls Webflow's
wf.allowUserTrackingwithactivate: true, which switches on Webflow's tracking for that visitor. When a visitor doesn't grant Analytics consent, Consent Studio calls it with
activate: false. As long as a visitor hasn't made a choice, Consent Studio doesn't call Webflow's API.
Consent Studio waits until Webflow's script is ready before it passes the choice on. If Webflow's tracking API isn't on the page, the integration does nothing.
You don't need to change anything in Webflow's own settings: turning on the integration in Consent Studio is enough.
How to enable this integration
Log in to your Consent Studio dashboard and select your domain.
In the top bar, open the Web CMP dropdown and click Integrations.
Under Available Integrations, find Webflow Analytics. You can also type its name in the Search integrations... box.
Click Webflow Analytics to switch it on. Enabled integrations are shown under Active Integrations.
Click Save & Publish.
The Webflow Analytics integration has no further settings.
If switching it on takes you over the number of integrations included in your plan, the Integrations page warns you about the extra charge. For what each plan includes, see Consent Studio Essential and Consent Studio Professional.
The "Enable Webflow Analytics integration" recommendation
Monitoring shows this recommendation when your website runs on Webflow, the integration is off, and the domain has been in Consent Studio for at least 14 days. It closes by itself as soon as you save the integration. You don't need to wait for a scan. See Enable Webflow Analytics integration.
To install Consent Studio on your Webflow website, see Webflow: How to install Consent Studio.
