Shopware and Shopware Analytics Consent API x Consent Studio CMP

Apply correct consent decisions in Shopware Analytics by enabling the dedicated integration in Consent Studio

Updated over a week ago

Using the Shopware and Shopware Analytics Consent frameworks with Consent Studio as your CMP of choice

How is consent processed with Shopware?

When a user grants functional (cookie) consent through the Consent Studio banner on your website, we will set the _swa_consent_enabled and cookie-preference flags to 1 by default. The rest is up to you.

Full flexibility when it comes to feature flags

It might be the case your store has add-ons/plugins that require feature flags to be set based on user-provided consent.

Feature flags can be configured in the settings panel of your integration.

Notes:

  • Feature flags must be comma-separated.

  • When a consent category does not have consent, we will clear the cookie completely. In other words: we will not set it to 0 instead.

Common feature flags to use

Functional:

  • wishlist-enabled

Analytics:

  • google-analytics-enabled

Marketing:

  • google-ads-enabled

  • youtube-video

How is consent processed with Shopware Analytics?

When a user grants analytics (cookie) consent through the Consent Studio banner on your website, we will send a positive (true) signal attached to the sw-analytics-consent emitter push.

When a user denies analytics (cookie) consent, we will do the opposite. The signal will be negative (false).

How to enable this dual integration?

Log in to your Consent Studio dashboard.

Open the Consent Studio dashboard and head to the Integrations panel, which is located in the Banner dropdown menu.

Enable or disable the Shopware & Shopware Analytics integration using the toggle in the catalogue.

Don't forget to save your changes by clicking the Save changes button at the bottom of the page.
