Our primary touch point with your website visitors will be the (cookie) consent banner. It will do its best to adapt to your site's design. We offer various customization features.

You can put the cookie declaration on pages of your choosing, like a cookie and/or privacy policy page.

We also offer a hosted cookie table (https://consent.studio/[your domain here], like https://consent.studio/vallonic.com).

We will scan your website in order to detect the tracking technologies used regularly. The discovered cookies are matched against our extensive cookie database, readily providing you with the relevant explanations for each cookie. These can be overridden, and syncing of attributes with our database can be disabled.

We will only scan the pages that you want us to scan. This is to prevent spikes in GA4 and also to keep our services affordable. You can learn more here.

We do not care about how many pages your site (domain) has or how many sessions that you have on a monthly basis.

In the consent log, we store all actions taken on your consent banner. Every time a user of your site updates (or initially provides) their consent choice, this will be logged.

In the Consent Studio Professional plan, we have a gracious limit of 400.000 consent actions monthly. Consent log records are stored up to 12 months.

When you exceed the 400.000 consent actions limit, you will be billed additional charges automatically.

HTTP Consent Cookies are consent-related cookies set directly via an HTTP response from your own domain, rather than through JavaScript from an external source.

Consent Studio enables this by using a A or CNAME record and/or a Cloudflare Worker, allowing these cookies to be set as first-party HTTP cookies. This approach bypasses Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) in browsers like Safari and Firefox, which often block or shorten the lifespan of third-party or JavaScript-set cookies.

By setting cookies via HTTP under your domain, consent states can persist for much longer, up to a full year, instead of being limited to just 7 days or less by ITP. This ensures more stable and reliable consent tracking, improving both compliance and user experience.

On-Demand Scans allow you to manually initiate a scan of your website at any time. These scans function the same as scans from the Cookie scanner.

On-Demand Scans do not replace or interfere with the regular scheduled scans. They serve as a flexible option to scan for cookies whenever needed.

Consent Reprompting is a feature that gives you a chance to ask visitors to reconsider a previous denial of consent, without being intrusive.

In Consent Studio, this works through a probability-based system. For each non-essential category (like marketing or analytics), you can define a chance that a visitor who previously chose “deny” will be asked again if they want to update their choice. This only applies to users who initially rejected consent for that category.

When a visitor “wins” this reprompt chance (a sort of lottery), they’ll see a subtle prompt asking if they’d like to reconsider. Functional (strictly necessary) cookies are never included in reprompting.

This approach allows for periodic re-engagement without being pushy, helping you regain lost consent over time while staying compliant and respectful.

By enabling the Customise Button, the Accept Selection Button on the first layer will be moved to the second layer of the banner — the tracking technology overview, and so will the toggles themselves.

Consent Studio Professional customers can add their logo to the consent banner.

By default, our banners are optimised for digital accessibility, together with external advisors. Consent Studio Professional customers have more freedom in certain decisions, such as autofocus targeting, ARIA label politeness and more.

By default, we present a sticky toggle in the bottom left corner of your browser. Changing the position always has been a readily available feature, however, further controls are given to domains that use Consent Studio Professional. For instance, you can replace the icons used with your own and customise the toggle further.

Sitemap Based Scanning means using a website's sitemap as the foundation for the scanning process. The sitemap is a list that contains the most important pages of the website. By scanning only these pages, the process becomes more efficient, avoiding unnecessary content.

Consent Studio Professional includes a multi-language feature, allowing you to add as many languages as you like.

The Consent Studio Professional plan provides access to unlimited uses of our no-code integrations.

The Consent Studio Professional plan includes unlimited geo targeting rules.

You can add up to four domain aliases to your domain, after which an overage fee will be charged per extra domain.

Each domain has unlimited collaborators, meaning you can invite as many people as you like to help manage your domain.

By registering as a Consent Studio Partner (agencies, freelancers and/or resellers), you can earn with us or save significantly on both your Essential or Professional plan. Check the Reseller Program page on our website for more information and to register.

Unlike with the Essential plan, all the add-ons (such as: no-code integrations, additional languages, additional collaborators, geo targeting rules), except for Domain Aliases, are at your disposal without limitations or extra charges. They are included for free.

Metered billing means you're charged based on how many additional consent actions your users perform, rather than paying for resources you won't use anyways. We charge additionally in blocks of 100.000 additional consent actions.
