What is a Critical Recommendation?

A critical recommendation is a recommendation that has detected a matter that has a high negative impact on either:

  • Visitor tracking and measurements;

  • Implementation of Consent Studio;

  • Implementation of Google Consent Mode and/or meeting Google requirements

Since we believe that these categories often also touch the legal compliance of your website with common privacy laws, we categorise these as "critical".

Who will be notified of recommendations and how often?

All collaborators on your domain will be notified per e-mail.

About which recommendations will I be notified?

We will only notify you about new recommendations or recommendations from the past that have reactivated.

Where can I find my recommendations?

Active (not dismissed) recommendations are found at the Start page of your domain's Consent Studio dashboard.

All active, resolved and dismissed recommendations can be found on the Recommendations page, which can be accessed from the Domain dropdown in the top bar navigation.

Can I dismiss recommendations?

You may want to ignore certain recommendations. This is possible, but that depends on the recommendation. Most recommendations can be dismissed.

Dismissal is on the domain level; a dismissed recommendation will be dismissed for every user.

Certain recommendations can only be resolved by Consent Studio systems or customer service team members. Please refer to the "How can I resolve recommendations?" question in this same FAQ.

How to resolve discovered issues?

Every recommendation will include which actions to take as an integral part. Some recommendations may require you to consult our support team and some do not. Regardless: you can always contact us.
